Servo-driven drilling unit B045 + VSSCH-5

The B045 + VSSCH-5 series provides a compact and versatile solution for drilling units with servo-driven feed. The unit consists of a powerful drilling spindle combined with a precise feed slide and is suitable for machining wood, plastics and light metals.

The feed is driven by a servo motor that operates a ball screw, providing precise positioning and repeatable machining processes. The unit is available with a stroke of 100 mm or 150 mm, allowing it to be used for different machining applications.

For driving the drilling spindle, three-phase motors with power ratings of 1.1 kW or 2.2 kW are available. The speed can be continuously adjusted between 2,700 and 5,400 rpm using a customer-provided frequency converter. This allows the spindle speed to be flexibly adapted to different materials and machining requirements.

Alternatively, servo motors can be used to drive the drilling spindle. In addition to precise speed control, these motors also allow operation at lower speeds. Depending on the application, servo motors with power ratings of 1.7 kW, 2.3 kW and 3.3 kW are available.

The standard tool holder is Ø10H7 x 20 with lateral M6 clamping. Alternatively, versions with a drill chuck or collet chuck are available. The spindle rotates clockwise as standard.

The feed slide is guided by two precision steel shafts with a diameter of 36 mm, providing high stability and rigidity of the entire unit. The servo-driven feed enables precise and repeatable positioning of the drilling spindle.

Thanks to its modular design, the unit is suitable both for individual applications and for integration into more complex machining systems. Different stroke lengths, spindle drives and tool holders allow the unit to be configured to suit the respective requirements. With a total weight of approx. 40 kg, the unit offers a balanced combination of performance, stability and compact design.
